On Sunday, April 4, 2027, at 4pm we will recognize Rabbi Aaron Benson and Cantor Daniel Kramer for their dedication and service to the North Shore Jewish Center.​

Since his arrival in 2013, Rabbi Benson has cultivated a deep commitment to the North Shore Jewish Center. He has taught the synagogue’s Bar and Bat Mitzvah classes, led various adult education and youth programs, and collaborated with both professional staff and lay leaders on programming, fundraising, and strengthening communal bonds.

Rabbi Benson serves as a member of the Three Village Clergy Council and has been appointed as the New York Board of Rabbis’ chaplain to Mather and St. Charles Hospitals in Port Jefferson. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and was ordained by the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at the American Jewish University in 2003.

Cantor Daniel Kramer was raised within our congregation and returned with his family in 2007. Cantor Daniel’s philosophy as a chazzan emphasizes engaging the congregation, as communal prayer is central to the synagogue experience. He works with children in the Cantor Martin L. Ehrlich Religious School on t’fillot (prayers), aiming to help them feel comfortable with synagogue services, particularly on Shabbat, and to encourage active participation from both students and their families.
