If you want to join a vibrant, like-minded group of dynamic women, NSJC Sisterhood is the place to be! We are a group of women with young kids, grown kids and no kids. Some of us work full time, others work part-time, and yet others are retired.  We all have a story to tell, and life experiences that serve to strengthen the bonds of friendship we have forged here.

Throughout the year Sisterhood’s presence in the synagogue is highly visible. Our annual membership dinner in the Fall is highlighted by a vendors’ boutique. In the Spring, Sisterhood’s biggest fundraising event of the year has proven to be one of our most enjoyable events.

We have had fashion shows, basket dinners, and, most recently, a Bagels, Baskets and Bingo event. In addition, we have programs focusing on the Jewish holidays as well as a successful art auction, guest lectures and a Rosh Chodesh group.

This year we are bringing Mah Jongg to the synagogue with regularly scheduled, on-going games. Proceeds from Sisterhood fundraisers enable us to purchase many requested and needed items for our synagogue. And, our social action arm is sponsoring several local needy families in our community with gifts at the holidays.

Our Sisterhood Gift Shop affords our community the convenience of shopping locally for Judaic items. They now accept credit cards and will be opening an online store very soon!

The Sisterhood Board meets once a month, usually on the second Tuesday of the month. Sisterhood President Sheryl A. Roberts invites you to contact her regarding membership, programs and any questions you may have.
